About Griffin Air Balance

Shawn T. Griffin, TBS

Founder and President

Shawn has Diplomas in Mechanical Engineering Technology and Automated Manufacturing Technology from Nova Scotia Community College.

Shawn has 33 years in the test and balance industry. After 14 years learning the profession, he saw the need for another CAABC Nova Scotia-based agency and opened his agency in 2002. He and Griffin Air Balance Ltd. became fully certified with CAABC in 2009.

Shawn currently holds the Office of Vice President, CAABC.

Shawn is a goalie and a bass player year-round, and during the summer he can also be found biking or playing tennis.

 

Andréa Griffin, B.A.

VP Administration

Andréa has a Bachelor’s in Psychology (with a Minor in Philosophy) from Mount Saint Vincent University. After ten years in transportation administration, Andréa joined Griffin Air in 2003, taking over all administrative duties.

A long-time member of her professional association, IAAP, she held leadership positions locally and regionally including two terms as the Eastern Division President. 

Andréa loves to volunteer! She now volunteers with Girl Guides of Canada - Guides du Canada. After her time as a Unit Leader, she joined the Provincial Board as Dartmouth Shore Area Commissioner, chaired a property management committee and has rejoined the Provincial Board as the Provincial Treasurer. She is also the CAABC Secretary, having been asked to join their board due to her experience in association governance.
